Clear answers to your vaccine questions.

Talk to a vaccine and infection specialist on a video call. Then get a written plan to take to your own doctor.

  • Babies and children
  • Children with special health needs
  • Pregnancy
  • Travel abroad

VaxLine is for advice, not illness or emergencies. If your child is unwell, has a fever with a rash, is struggling to breathe, or has a reaction after a vaccine, see a doctor or go to the nearest hospital now. We do not give vaccines; your own doctor or clinic does.

Questions parents bring to us

If you have read three websites and asked two relatives and still are not sure, this is what the call is for. A few examples:

Routine and optional vaccines

  • Which optional vaccines are worth it for my baby?
  • Is it safe to give several vaccines on the same day?
  • Painless or regular: does the choice of vaccine matter?

Missed doses and catch-up

  • We missed the 9-month vaccines. Is it too late?
  • We moved from abroad and the schedules do not match.
  • Can the missed doses be given together, or do we start again?

Travel

  • We are moving to Canada. What does our 4-year-old need?
  • Does my family need anything before Hajj or Umrah?
  • I travel to Nigeria for work next month. What do I need, and is it too late?

Special health needs

  • My son is on chemotherapy. Which vaccines are safe, and when?
  • My daughter recently finished a course of steroids. Can she have her vaccines now?
  • Our baby was born early. Does the schedule change?

Pregnancy

  • Which vaccines in pregnancy protect my newborn?
  • I am 28 weeks pregnant. Is it the right time for Tdap?
  • We are planning a pregnancy. Should I check my vaccines first?

Worries and side effects

  • My child had a high fever after the last dose. Should we go ahead?
  • She has an egg allergy. Can she have the flu vaccine?
  • I have read something worrying online. Is it true?

Travelling for work, or moving abroad with family?

Tell us where you are going and when. We check the vaccines and certificates your destination asks for, what you and your children need, and the timing, using World Health Organization and destination country guidance. Weekday and weekend slots are available, often the same day.

Questions about VaxLine

Do you give the vaccines?

No. We advise, and send you a written plan. Your own pediatrician, family doctor or vaccination clinic gives the vaccines. For yellow fever, the vaccine is given only at government-designated centres, and we tell you where to look.

Is this a replacement for my pediatrician?

No. It is a second, specialist opinion on vaccines. The plan is written so your own doctor can follow it, and we are happy for them to contact us with questions.

My child is unwell. Can we book?

Not for the illness itself. Please see a doctor in person. Once your child is well, we can discuss when to restart vaccines.

How soon can I get a call?

Often the same day, if a slot is free. For travel, book at least 4 to 6 weeks before you leave if you can, since some vaccines need time or more than one dose.

Which recommendations do you follow?

The National Immunization Schedule of India, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics schedule, World Health Organization guidance, other national guidance such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and Canada's National Advisory Committee on Immunization, and the entry requirements of the countries you travel to. Where advice differs between sources, we explain the difference so you can decide.

Can we talk about more than one person?

One consultation covers one child, one pregnancy or one trip. Brothers and sisters can be discussed briefly on the same call if time allows; for detailed questions, please book a consultation for each.

Can the call be on WhatsApp?

Yes. Choose WhatsApp video when you book, give the number you use on WhatsApp, and pick a day and time. We confirm the time on WhatsApp, call you then, and send your written plan there. WhatsApp calls are end-to-end encrypted.

What if I cannot make the call?

You can change your time once yourself, up to 2 hours before the call, using the link in your booking email. If we have to cancel, you can choose another time or get a full refund.

Is my information private?

Yes. What you send reaches us over a secure connection and is kept in our Google Workspace account (Gmail and Google Drive), protected by two-step sign-in. Only the VaxLine specialist sees it. We use it only for your consultation, never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it. Read the Privacy policy for details.
